The story of JBL began in 1946, when audio pioneer James B. Lansing founded his own company. It soon became the beating heart of the popular music scene. In 1974, JBL built the gigantic “Wall of Sound” for Grateful Dead, and JBL’s speakers have even won two Academy Awards. In 2012, the first JBL Flip brought listeners a whole new degree of freedom: suddenly, you could take legendary sound with you wherever you went. Today, JBL isn’t only at the heart of musical history, but also of your very own special auditory experiences.
